No spark and no fuel pressure at the rail. I can hear the fuel pump start when key is turned to run. Primary and secondary coil resistances okay. Signal from PCM at coil pack is normal for two of the three pins, but the pin for cylinders 2 & 5 has a constant ground whether key is on or off. The most important tool that you're gonna' need, to test the ignition coils for spark, is a spark tester. A lot of folks check the COP ignition coils for spark by simply pulling the ignition coil off of the spark plug (while the car is running)and hearing for the audible clicking sound the spark makes. But, this is the worst way to check for spark.
Ergot poisoning antidote, Coil packs are what give your vehicle the spark to make the power. May 12, 2011 · Replacing the coil pack will solve the No spark Condition for cylinders #6 and #1. Here's why: If the ignition coil within the coil pack that feeds cylinders #6 and #1 is getting the switching signal, it has to spark. Since you have confirmed the switching signal's presence, by a process of elimination you now know the coil pack is bad.
With a bad ignition coil – Your car engine may suffer from sudden stalling or hard starting conditions. An ignition coil is a transformer which is used to convert and provide the spark plug with enough electricity so that it creates a spark and starts the engine.
A faulty coil may fire intermittently, produce a weak spark or kill a cylinder completely. Coils are sensitive to heat and may produce an intermittent problem if their internal components become weak. Once the winding inside weakens or breaks, the problem is irreversible. However, you can test the coil pack on your car using a voltmeter. does after running for a litle, does you coil start to produce any spark at all? My car is doing the same thing. When i start it it runs fine for about 5 secdons, then the front coil drops out. after setting or drivin for a little it will start to produce weak spark, then after running longer it ousually produces strong spark. No spark or weak spark to one cylinder. Non-resistor spark plugs in use. Spark plug worn, fouled or damaged. Poor connection at spark plug cap to high tension lead. Poor connection at high tension lead to ignition coil. Damaged or disconnected spark plug cap. Poor grounds or connections at electrical box. Electrical connections heavy corroded.
Createjs tweenNo salt vrat recipesA weak spark is the first sign that the ignition coil may be failing. During acceleration, the air and fuel that is forced into the cylinders extinguish whatever spark there is, which causes the car to stall. So, if a car is running on a weak spark, the car will be able to turn on, but will stall out soon after acceleration.
